The mission

Forty trillion dollars. One trade at a time.

The national debt grows by billions every day, and most people feel there is nothing they can do about it. The Paydown Fund turns trading into a small, steady donation against it.

The U.S. Treasury accepts donations toward the debt through its official Pay.gov page, “Gifts to Reduce the Debt Held by the Public”. The fund collects its share of the token tax in a public wallet, donates it there, and posts the official receipt.

How it works

You trade

Buy or sell $PAYDOWN on Pons. A 3% tax is taken on each trade by the token contract.

ii.

The fund collects

80% of the tax lands in the fund wallet. Anyone can watch its balance on the block explorer.

iii.

The fund donates

The fund donates the balance to the Treasury through Pay.gov and posts the official receipt in the ledger below.
